Saturday was a bright beautiful day and the sun gleaming off the melting lake made a great backdrop for gaming.

The Pavilion has oodles of space, tables, chairs, and a nice little kitchen and it made a great place to game. It was great to see your smiling faces and NEW faces to boot!

Many many thanks to the people who came early to help with set-up, that was fantastic- Rickey, Becky, Ben, Derek, NJ, Josh, Ruby, Steven and anyone I may have forgotten. After the bustle of set-up, the gaming began.

Thank you to all the Game Masters and gamers who came out, without you, it’s not a game day. And Clean-up was fast as well, just wonderful all around.

Thanks to Ruby and Derek for running a great concession stand. Thanks to RPGA, David, Dale, Steven, Steven, Lance, Rodney, NJ and all the Game Masters. Norm, thank you for coordinating the event. Adam, thank you for your Promo help. Thanks to Offutt for use of their facility. And a HUGE thank you to all the folks who do all the things that make these events possible.

I hope to see you all at the upcoming game days

  • May 2nd- Papio South High School
  • June 20th- Ground Zero Omaha – FREE RPG DAY!
  • July 4th Weekend- Otaku Omaha
  • July 18th Weekend- OSFEST

Follow-up Aftershock 2008.3 Game Day
Posted on: Thursday August 14, 2008

Hello All!

I would like to start out the email with a thanks to the great guys at Gauntlet Games for housing our event.

39 gamers came out to the game day and a huge variety of games were Played.

Thanks to TabletopAdventures, Dave, Randy, Dale, Randy, Shelly, and NJ, who ran scheduled events. Thanks also to the folks who broke the ice and grabbed items from the library and started gaming!

Thanks to Elizabeth and Becky for helping me cover the desk!

Last, but not least, thanks to everyone who came out to play games, hang out, and enjoy the day of games.

P.S.- thanks to Super Princess for flying around the store, keeping us safe from evil and Nathanial that made sure King Kong was there to keep the cribbage game on the up and up.

More Aftershock news posted soon. Join us at the Meeting on the 16th and help us determine the course of the events.

Thanks!

From Nuke-Con

Thanks to all the Game Masters for volunteering to run games! And thanks to the gamers who came out!

Andy, thank you for coordinating the GMs.

A special thanks to the South Papio Gaming Club and the Papio South HS Library and crew! The space and food were great.

And thank you again to the Nuke-Con volunteers who helped run the desk and prep for the event! Josh, NJ, Mac, Leslie, Blair, Dave, Ann, and anyone I may have forgotten, Thanks!!

From Andy
Hey folks,

I just wanted to send out a huge thank you to everyone who came and played, ran a game, and/or helped set-up and maintain the Afterschock at Papio South High this weekend. Other than the A/C issue (which is being looked into), I think things went off without a hitch. I’ve had a lot of positive feedback from the event, and I had fun as well. I also heard many students planning to attend the June 19th Aftershock at Ground Zero in Bellevue, so that should be fun.

A special thanks is due Derek, Ruby, Becky, and Bill who set up a whole new system that nobody in the area had played for the LARP. The kids had a blast.

I can’t put into words how much I appreciate Nuke-Con. – Andy Koehler
